The Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, known as the Iron Mosque, stands in Precinct 3 of Putrajaya, opposite the Palace of Justice. It is the second principal mosque of Putrajaya, after the Putra Mosque, and has twice that mosque's area. The architect was Nik Arshad Nik Mohammed. It holds 20,000 worshippers and cost about 208 million ringgit.

Construction began in April 2004 and finished in August 2009, and the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, opened it on 11 June 2010. The building has a modern design. Fine glass makes it look white from afar, and architectural wire mesh covers parts of it.

The prayer hall has a mihrab wall with a 43-foot (13-meter) glass panel from Germany carrying Qur'anic verses. A skyway called the Kiblat Walk has landscaping adapted from the Alhambra.
