The Theatro da Paz is a theater on Praça da República in Belém, the capital of the state of Pará, Brazil. It has a seating capacity of 787. Its architect was the engineer José Libúrcio Pereira Magalhães. Construction began in 1869 and ended in 1874, and the premiere production, Adolphe d'Ennery's drama The Two Orphans, took place on February 16, 1878.
The building follows neoclassical lines and was built during the rubber boom in the Amazon Basin. The Italian artist Domenico de Angelis planned its decoration, and he also decorated the Teatro Amazonas in Manaus.
The theater declined after the rubber era. Armando Baloni restored its roof painting in 1960. A major reform in the 1990s restored its original colors. The national heritage institute IPHAN listed the building in 1963.
