St. Peter's Church is a modern Catholic pilgrimage church at the center of the Capernaum archaeological site in northern Israel, on the west coast north of the Sea of Galilee. It is part of the Franciscan monastery in Capernaum and is dedicated to St. Peter. The architect was Ildo Avetta, and T R Freeman Ltd was the builder.

The modern church was built over ancient remains in 1989 or 1990, and the source gives both years. It stands over the ruins of earlier temples and structures. The first half of a church was built over an earlier residential layer in the first century, and an octagonal church was built on the same site in the fifth century.

It is regarded as the first church in the world. It is believed to possibly stand where the house of the Apostle Peter was.
