St. Christopher's Cathedral in Roermond was begun in 1410 to replace an older parish church outside the town walls, and it was completed during the sixteenth century. It was first designed as a basilica on a cruciform plan. The plans changed in the fifteenth century, so the choir was finished as a three-aisled hall and the nave was built with five naves. The article calls the style Gothic.

The infobox gives a maximum height of 279 feet (85 meters), and the western tower is 256 feet (78 meters) high. The Dutch artist Joep Nicolas made its stained glass.

The Diocese of Roermond was established in 1559, and the church became the bishop's church in 1661. German troops blew up the western tower the day before the town's liberation, and it was restored to its old form. It is a Rijksmonument.
