Santi Sergio e Bacco stands at Piazza Madonna dei Monti 3 in the Monti district of Rome. It is dedicated to Saints Sergius and Bacchus, and its infobox gives the founding as 726. It is now a Ukrainian Greek Catholic church of the Byzantine rite. Cardinal Antonio Marcello Barberini commissioned a renovation in the seventeenth century under Pope Urban VIII, and the travertine doorway and inscription survive from that work. In 1641 Urban VIII granted the church to the Ruthenian Basilian monks.
Francesco Ferrari formulated the designs in the early eighteenth century, and reconstruction began in 1741 to honor the icon of the Madonna del Pascolo. In 1897 Pope Leo XIII remodeled the facade and added statues of the four Eastern Doctors of the Church.
In 1970 it became a Ukrainian national parish, and in 2019 it became the cathedral of the Ukrainian Catholic Apostolic Exarchate of Italy.
