San Teodoro stands at Via San Teodoro 7 in Rome, at the northwest foot of the Palatine Hill between the main forum and the Forum Boarium. It is dedicated to Theodore of Amasea, a martyr and warrior saint, and is informally called San Toto. It may have been built in the sixth century on the ruins of Agrippa's granaries or a temple of Juno Sospita.

Its apse mosaic from the sixth century shows Christ seated on an orb, flanked by Peter, Paul and the martyrs Theodore and Cleonicus. The church was renovated by Francesco Barberini in 1643 and rebuilt by Carlo Fontana in 1703 to 1705, when Pope Clement XI commissioned the work. The Capitoline Wolf was kept here until the sixteenth century.

Today the church serves the Greek Orthodox community of Rome. Pope John Paul II granted its use in 2000, and the official inauguration took place on July 1, 2004. It contains an iconostasis.
