Saint Sarkis Cathedral in Tehran was commissioned by the Tehran Armenian prelacy committee. The brothers Gurgen and Vasgen Sarkisian financed it in memory of their parents. Construction ran from 1964 to 1970, and the infobox gives 1971. The article names no architect.

It is an Armenian Apostolic church with a single-nave plan, a half-circle altar on the east side and two domed belfries flanking the entrance. The hexagonal main dome has octagonal rods as decoration. The structure is concrete, covered inside and out in white marble. It is 120 feet (36.5 m) long and 58 feet (17.8 m) wide, and the article calls it the largest church in Tehran.

It was built without interior columns, and four bearing columns were added after concern that the dome might fall. It is the cathedral of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran.
