Fort la Latte is a coastal castle on the Brittany coast of France. Étienne III Goyon began building it in the 1340s, and its dungeon was added between 1365 and 1370. It stands on the coast of the Brittany region, and the site is also known as Château de la Latte.
In the age of Louis XIV the fort was adapted for cannon fire, and new bastions were added. These later works adapted a medieval stronghold to newer weapons, while the older dungeon remained part of the fort.
Frédéric Joüon Des Longrais restored the fort from 1931. The castle is now a heritage site that visitors can enter. Its history runs from the 1340s to the restoration that began in 1931.
