The Church of the Holy Trinity stands at Kostelní 111 in Fulnek in Moravia. An earlier parish church was first mentioned in 1293, and an Augustinian monastery was founded in 1389. The earlier church and monastery burned several times, including at the hands of the Swedish army in 1657. A growing devotion to a local Marian portrait outgrew a brick chapel of 1750, and a new church was built.
Nikolaus Thalherr, an architect based in Fulnek, designed the Baroque church. The foundation stone was laid on October 19, 1750, and it is kept under the pulpit. Jan of Schärffenberg consecrated the church on October 22, 1760.
Joseph Ignatz Sadler painted the ceiling frescoes, and Ignác Viktorin Raab painted the wall and side altar paintings. The Marian portrait above the main altar was given by the Mudrák family after their two sons died in 1678.
